BRICKS FOR ALL
Bricks for All, a high school student-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit, is dedicated to empowering indigenous students through LEGO-based STEM education. We provide immersive learning experiences while gifting LEGO sets to these students. Additionally, we foster leadership among older indigenous students, enabling them to organize impactful community events. Our mission is to bridge educational gaps, inspire future leaders, and ensure that every indigenous child has the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
Our Story
Once upon a time, a young child received his first Lego set of a model airplane, and with this set, he discovered a world of endless possibilities. This child was me–a dreamer, a builder, and a seeker of knowledge. As I grew older, my passion for Legos only intensified and I realized that these humble plastic blocks had been more than just toys in my life. They had been the gateway to learning and understanding STEM concepts in a way that was fun, interactive, and deeply engaging. I wanted nothing more than to share this transformative experience with my fellow Indigenous students, to spark the same curiosity and love for learning that LEGO had ignited within me. With the unwavering support of my community, I founded Bricks For All, a platform dedicated to providing Indigenous students with the opportunity to unleash their creativity, discover their potential, and embrace the power of knowledge. Through this initiative, I sought to break down barriers that had hindered access to quality education and inspire a new generation of Indigenous creators, innovators, and leaders.
What We Do
We are dedicated to bringing the magic of Lego engineering to Indigenous schools all across the United States. We travel far and wide, reaching out to remote and underserved Indigenous communities, to deliver prepared lessons and engaging hands-on workshops during class time. For these lessons, we provide the necessary Lego pieces and kits to the students–all of which are available for them to keep after the session.
Mission
To unleash creativity and promote interest in engineering for indigenous students by learning with Legos
